What is Platform? Good question! Platform are a society at Sheffield University whose aim is to showcase your creative talents all in support of Cavendish Cancer Care, a local charity that helps those who are suffering with cancer or who have a family member suffering. Throughout the year we hold events, either in association with other societies, such as Poetrysoc, SuTCo, SUPAS, Open Space and Dancesoc, or just as Platform. At these events we champion both the performer and the audience; both are important to us. 

    We take our role in supporting Cavendish very seriously, donating all the proceeds from eah event to the local charity.

    Our main event is the Platform Festival help in Spring time each year. This is a three day fietsa of performing arts through the union and all are welcome!
